Happily I have now managed 2 months! Month 2 was easier so I’m going to carry on!! February (you can see all the photos at the link) included 8 days in the desert which was certainly more interesting than a month in the office…
A month that starts the way February did is probably a suggestion for the way any month should start… Fun and giggles at a friends wedding followed by flying first class with British Airways to the UAE! If ONLY all months were like that 😉
The UAE was pretty epic and I’ll write about it separately but these are some of my favourite photos of the time there! It really was a challenging trip as you can see! An incredible amount of research went into this trip, not least because it was to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday! As I’ve said to everyone since we got home – I am already looking forward to my own 40th and I’ve got a fair few years to wait!!
On the way home from the trip we burnt a few virgin miles that we didn’t really know what to do with… always good to compare and contrast! Top tip – BA Club World, can’t go wrong with that!
Going back to work is always enough to give me the holiday blues! 276 emails in 7 days – fortunately no ticking bombs, but the 3 day week certainly flew by!! We absolutely made the most of the weekend – the shock of being back at work made sure of that! Saturday night Thai take away with friends (their recommendation for a take away we’d not heard of and it was good)! Followed by a trip to Hurst to see the damage the Valentines day storm had done to such a solid bit of beach…
Then it was off to the north of England:
Working in Leeds for a while and the hilton points are rolling in! Got special treatment from BA on the way up too – always nice! A weekend in Cheshire with family was lovely and very lucky with the weather, then back to Leeds for what definitely felt like the start of spring!
Stumbled across the Lindo wing, although sadly no sighting of the little prince as I trundled past (are those doors now a tourist attraction, as I felt a bit conspicuous taking a photo?!).
Back home for the end of the month – they say it’s grim up north, but I got caught in a hail storm in Bournemouth! End of the month with obligatory birthday cakes for the office ahead of Sunday’s birthday!
February was short which made it easy, but because I was all over the place it was even easier!
Read about January, here.
You sound like you’ve been busy, Anna! Flying first class with BA must have been lovely… weren’t you going to be doing Upper Class with Virgin Atlantic some time also? Whilst I found that was very good, I don’t imagine it would compare with BA 1st class…!!

We came back upper… The trials and tribulations of too many airmiles!!! I liked aspects of upper, like the fact there isn’t trolley service like in club, but I think ba club wins every time and first for the special trips you save miles a long time for!!!
What a busy month! Have to agree flying BA Club Class is wonderful. It makes the time at the airport, as well as the flight , a real pleasure and not a nasty necessity. The last time I flew with them I can remember being disappointed that the flight wasn’t longer – never thought that before!!

That’s definitely true when landing in Dubai, hectic airport…
Looks like you had a busy month. From the UAE to the north of England – must have been quite a culture change.
