And I don’t just mean work wise!!
I take lots of pictures, the iPhone is always somewhere near to me to capture all the fun and excitement of the year! So how about ‘Project 365’… I’ve seen lots of people doing this before – taking a photo on every day of a year. I thought that must be easy, I’m always doing something? It will certainly make for an interesting look back at the year!
Not so – actually really hard (and we are only in January!), I always knew I worked long hours, and that often days are so samey that they merge into each other for similarity! Just keeping this going through January has been tricky, but actually – it is interesting looking back over the month, as whilst it is an incredibly busy month work-wise, I did more than I remembered! And I clearly drunk a lot of tea! February should be more interesting as less busy and also there’s a holiday to enjoy! Fingers crossed I can keep this going all year!!!
The full photo calendar of January can be found here.
So January began dreary, but with the best intentions – no wine and getting over flu and Christmas and trying to enjoy the outdoors whenever the rain stopped!! Before long, back at work and all over the countryside – plenty of time on the train and visiting different regional offices and the offices of clients. Not that picture worthy!
I spent a lot more time in London that I realised I would in January, and it was actually quite nice – busy, but actually quite nice to amble along Regents Street after work and have blackberry free time on the train (the route from London to Southampton has poor reception, which can be a godsend)! An after work drink at Sketch was a particular highlight of the start of the month, and sadly marked the end of my dry January only 2 weeks in! Peer pressure – honestly!!
Now the sun did come out a few times too and it is nice to see my daffodils (from our wedding almost 4 years ago) peeping through the mud! The diet did go downhill a little at times when really busy but big an early morning beach stroll one Sunday to get some fresh air and have a little break from what is a very worky month was very restorative!!
Middle of the month and the first of the deadlines was reached and achieved, involved a few more trips into London, but I had a mini-bottle of fizz held back from Christmas to enjoy! Strangely for January, I only had to de-frost the car windscreen once, despite always being out of the house around 7am, so that was a pleasant time saver!
Always find it funny that someone was sufficiently humorous to put my gym next to a majestic – but I went left and spent time in the gym rather than doing any wine buying!! Gyms are so busy in January – and actually quite comical! I have never seen people eating their supper or painting their nails whilst sitting on an exercise bike!!! Give it a few weeks and it will be back to normal attendance I’m sure!
End of the month spent in Windsor with work, I’ve seen the phone box below countless times, but it doesn’t get boring!! Windsor also has lots of different coloured post boxes – not sure I know the reason why, but that I like too – the little things in life to enhance a bleak January day!
Final 2 days of the month – my poor parking illustrates the tiredness, although I did get ALL FOUR WHEELS in the space!! And on the 31st, well, say no more – the out of office is now on! Sadly I still have a days work to do this weekend, but that feeling of being on annual leave has begun!
Really nice photo montage of your days!

Looking forward to reading the others with a cup of tea later!!
I love the picture of the phone box, and the one showing the London Eye. I hope one day I will be able to participate in Project 365. It’s such a wonderful way to remind ourselves to be thankful each and every day.

Let’s see if I manage to get past the end of February!! enjoyed reading all of this weeks!!
This is really hard project to do. Kudos for trying! You could have taken photo of each client you’ve visited. That could give you a competitive advantage – you know, like they would call you “my weird 365 project accountant”. And there are not many accountants called that. Just kidding :).

haha! and i’ve been to some interesting places on client visits this year… something about client-accountant confidentiality though!!
Great project, love it. Should try this myself, but I think this one may be too hard for me. 🙂

Try a month when you know you are doing something fun, much easier!!
I’ve always wanted to try this project but it never seems like I do enough fun things! However I do take so many pictures though- just not every single day!
At least you have your (great!) photos uploaded… My 365 project is currently sitting in my editor, and I need to get around to it! Love that phonebox!! 🙂
Congratulations! This looks like a lot of work for a fun side project. I’ve always been interesting in taking on the 365 challenge but I also know I would only last a few weeks at the most. Looking forward to seeing what February brings 🙂
Great photo collection of your daily life. I’ve tried to so something similar a couple of times, but my scatterbrained personality usually wins any argument or challenge. Lots of luck!
I think this is a fantastic undertaking. Stick with it, you’re doing great!
