This is one of my favourite photos (and days)! Given the camera we had at the time – it is even more amazing! Mr P was in the process of changing jobs but had some time on his hands – so he’d done a bit of ‘shopping’! Before the new job started, off we went to stay in Dorset for a long weekend – we found a great boutique hotel in Bridport called ‘The Bull‘. Once we’d arrived, Mr P insisted we leave our phones behind and walk to the nearby beach – Westbay (now famous from a UK TV drama called Broadchurch), which was about a 30min stroll. Pretty epic scenery, big yellow cliffs in either direction. It was busy, full of holiday-maker location, but Mr P bided his time waiting for a gap in ‘traffic’ before popping the question! Clearly I said yes, but actually I had to get him to repeat what he said, as the first time he asked, he didn’t actually ‘ask’!! This photo I think I must have taken before he asked the question, Mr P was being all nervy and fidgeting so I busied myself taking photos! It then went on to feature on our wedding invites and we have a canvas of it on the wall at home too! It was a gorgeous day! We’d been drinking a lot of champagne in the week before the trip because we were celebrating a new job for Mr P, that to toast our happy news – we went to the pub and had a beer instead!!
